American Express, JPMorgan Chase share losses contribute to Dow's 100-point fall

DOW UPDATE

Behind losses for shares of American Express and JPMorgan Chase, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling Wednesday afternoon. The Dow was most recently trading 104 points, or 0.3%, lower, as shares of American Express and JPMorgan Chase are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. American Express’s shares have declined $7.43 (4.3%) while those of JPMorgan Chase have fallen $4.14, or 2.5%, combining for an approximately 76-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Visa McDonald’s and Apple Inc. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
