Dow drops nearly 50 points on losses for Apple Inc., Home Depot stocks

Shares of Apple Inc. and Home Depot are trading lower Wednesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow DJIA, -0.37% was most recently trading 47 points, or 0.2%, lower, as shares of Apple Inc. AAPL, -4.58% and Home Depot HD, -2.00% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Apple Inc.’s shares are down $4.01, or 2.6%, while those of Home Depot have fallen $6.56, or 2.3%, combining for an approximately 70-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Intel INTC, -1.95%, Microsoft MSFT, -2.49%, and Salesforce Inc. CRM, -2.36%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
