Dow's nearly 50-point fall led by losses for Walmart, Home Depot shares

Behind negative returns for shares of Walmart and Home Depot, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning. Shares of Walmart WMT, -2.25% and Home Depot HD, -1.48% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, +0.36% was most recently trading 45 points lower (-0.1%). Walmart’s shares have fallen $2.66 (2.1%) while those of Home Depot have declined $5.72 (1.9%), combining for a roughly 55-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Walgreens Boots WBA, -0.93%, Walt Disney DIS, -1.07%, undefined Boeing BA, +0.04%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
