Shares in Mode Global Holdings PLC rose Friday after the company said the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority confirmed it can add more tokens to the Mode cryptocurrency app.

Shares at 0727 GMT were up 0.55 pence, or 17%, at 3.85 pence.

The London-listed fintech group said it will gradually add 10 new tokens to its platform for users to buy and sell, including Ethereum, Dogecoin, USD Coin and Tether.

The company said its ability to offer platform users more tokens will help them to diversify their investment portfolios whilst enhancing the company’s product offering.

“This expansion of tokens available on the platform will be a significant milestone for Mode, and the FCA’s regulatory approval is, we believe, a testament to our secure and well-governed infrastructure, which makes this token expansion possible,” Chief Executive Rita Liu said.
