Shares of Caterpillar and Intel are posting losses Tuesday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow
was most recently trading 267 points (0.8%) lower, as shares of Caterpillar
have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Caterpillar’s shares have dropped $5.31, or 2.1%, while those of Intel have declined $0.54 (1.9%), combining for a roughly 39-point drag on the Dow. Dow
are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
